On Saturday, April 24th, Stories On Stage Davis will be presenting a special virtual event with Reyna Grande in partnership with the Yolo County Library. Featuring an excerpt of Grande’s bestselling memoir The Distance Between Us, the event will also include a live Q&A with Grande after the performance. A special writing contest is open for current high school students, and the winning story will be performed as the evening’s opening story. Join us!

Reyna Grande
Author, The Distance Between Us
Reyna Grande was born in Iguala, Mexico. She was two when her father left for the U.S., followed by her mother several years later. When her father came back for her, Grande entered the U.S. illegally as a child, an experience she explored in her acclaimed memoir The Distance Between Us. Grande’s is a story about resilience in the face of daunting obstacles, and it demonstrates the heart’s remarkable capacity for forgiveness and compassion towards others.
